HYDRAULIC TYRE KILLER
We have designed the Hydraulic Tyre Killers especially for the entrance points which have threat of vehicle attack or for the ones that have high security requirements. Hydraulic tyre killer is the most secure system in case there is a threat of vehicle attack in addition to the control of vehicle access in high security applications. Even though the attack is from high tonnage vehicles with high speeds, it's not possible for the vehicle to keep on moving more than 25-30 more meters because of the damage to done to the wheels and to the rim of the vehicle. The drive unit is hydraulic but in case of power failure, these tyre killers can be lowered or lifted manually with the help of manual hand pump.
Typical raise/lower time is 3 seconds
In case of emergency, raise or lower time can be as low as 1.5 seconds
With the help of PLC controller, raise or lower function can be achieved by every kind of card readers and biometric readers like fingerprint or hand shape, radio control and on or off key switch
Safety accessories such as photocells, inductive loop detectors, flashing lights or red or green traffic lights can be integrated to the system very easily
Typical weight of a tyre killer is 1-1.5 tons depending on tyre killer type and accessories
Oil cooler or heater is standard in all hydraulic tyre killers
Tyre Killer is an electro hydraulically operated heavy duty spike obstruction which rises above the ground level on giving a valid input signal and thus prevents unauthorised intrusions at entry/exit points of high security premises.
PNEUMATIC TYRE KILLER
The unique and innovative S1000 spike system was developed with the specific aim of bringing a vehicle to a halt without harming passengers. Designed to rip tires apart and even withstand the latest generation of run-flat tires, the S1000 has been proven in the field as a particularly effective solution for border crossings and locations where vehicles pass at high speed.
Pneumatically operated and typically synchronized with a light arm barrier, the S1000 system comprises a set of hollow spikes which cross the entire width of the lane. When the barrier is down, the spikes are locked in the raised position and when the barrier is raised, the spikes are lowered into the ground allowing cars to pass over safely.
The hollow spikes have been engineered to ensure that a vehicle will be disabled irrespective of the approach direction. The height and width of the spikes have been specifically designed to rip apart both small private vehicle tires and large commercial vehicle tires. Even run-flat tires which use either the solid wall or wheel band method, are similarly disabled by this system which is particularly ruthless in its ability to shred a tire and damage the wheel.
Suitable for all weather conditions, the spike system incorporates a self-cleaning mechanism and drainage.
